About The Show & Venue

If you are engaged to be married, then York Marriott Hotel is the place to be on Sunday 26th January 2020 as the venue provides the setting for one of York’s most popular free wedding fayre.

Over 40 top wedding suppliers will be in attendance to help you plan your special day.

All visitors will be greeted by a drinks reception and a free gift bag will be given to the bride.

The event starts at 11.30am with visitors welcome to chat to all of our vendors and the hotel’s staff until 2.30pm.

York Marriott is a beautiful setting for both Civil Ceremonies and Wedding Receptions with landscaped gardens overlooking York Racecourse providing a magnificent backdrop for your photographs.

Admission is free of the day, but we do encourage brides-to-be to book tickets in advance as you will benefit from inclusion in our big prize draw.

If you only just starting your wedding planning and have never been to a wedding fayre, then this show would definitely be a good place to start.

It’s a common misconception, that visitors to the event must want to get married at the venue in order to attend, but that simply isn’t the case at all as everyone of our suppliere exhibiting at York Marriott will be only to happy to part of your big day wherever you are tying the knot.

NEW ADVISORY – North Yorkshire’s Biggest Wedding Show Cancelled

(Updated 18/03/2020) – It is with great regret that we must announce the postponement of The UK Wedding Event at York Racecourse on Sunday 29th March 2020 in light of the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak.

We have tried everything within our power to keep the event on, but following consultation with all relevant stakeholders and acting in accordance with the latest government advice, the decision has been taken to make this difficult call.

The health and well-being of all of our visitors and exhibitors is always at the forefront of our minds at all times and we hope you will understand our reasoning.

Anyone who has pre-booked to attend the show will be welcome to use their e-tickets to attend our return visit to York Racecourse later in the year on Sunday 18th October.

The show in October will again feature over 100 exhibitors and in light of this postponement has the potential to have more suppliers than ever before!

North Yorkshire’s Biggest Wedding Show

The UK Wedding Event returns to York Racecourse on Sunday 20th October 2019 for another huge Wedding Show.

Book in advance for fast track admission to an extremely busy show featuring over 100 exhibitors and to save money.

If you opt to wait until the day, all tickets ordered in person will be priced at £7 each.

However, be warned queues do start early for this award winning event, but rest assured it will be well worth the wait once you get inside!

More and more exhibitors are taking part in this show every year which now spans over three floors, offering everything a bride and groom could possibly wish for as they plan their big day.

Visitors who pre-booked tickets will also be automatically entered into our prize draw to win a bespoke wedding dress to be announced later in the year.

About The Show & Venue

The UK Wedding Event is delighted to again be back organising a wedding fayre at Mercure York Fairfield Manor Hotel for what is now our fourth year working alongside them.

Set in 6 acres of private grounds and within easy reach of the historic city centre, the hotel is one of the most desirable wedding venues in North Yorkshire.

With a natural stream and romantic footbridges that cross it as well as the manicured lawns, this is a truly idyllic place to say ‘I do’.

The hotel’s Parkside Suite consists of a large private room with its own bar and dance floor and can accommodate up to 130 guests for a sit down meal or 180 guests for an informal event.

Alternatively, the panelled Oak Room with a draped, tented ceiling is better suited for more intimate occasions and can accommodate up to 40 guests.

About The Show & Venue

The UK Wedding Event experience returns to Hilton York Hotel on Sunday 30th June 2019 for another wedding fayre at this popular York city centre location.

Not only will couples be able to see first hand a truly wonderful venue, they will also get the chance to explore the services of over 25 diverse wedding suppliers.

A sparkling reception will kick-off the day for all visitors when doors open from 11am ahead of a 2.30pm finish.

Admission is free, but brides are encouraged to pre-book for tickets as you will automatically be entered into our prize draw.

Set in the heart of the charming historic city of York, this contemporary venue could be the perfect setting for your special day, catering for between 10 and 200 guests in its versatile space.
