Hi! I'm James and I'm a photographer based in Leeds, West Yorkshire covering weddings throughout the UK and Europe. Recently married to my beautiful wife, Penny, I know how important it is to find the right photographer for your wedding.
I’ve been photographing weddings professionally for over ten years following three years of studying photography at college. My experience and creativity allow me to ensure the couples I work with have a stress-free, fun-filled wedding day with minimal time away from their friends and family.
I’ve always been passionate about photographing weddings - there’s something very rewarding about capturing that perfect moment that will never exist again - the moments that matter, that someone will look at for years to come, to relive their day and to cherish.
Getting to share such a special day with couples and capture those moments gives me enormous pride and I feel truly grateful that couples trust me to tell their story.
My Approach...
Weddings are a fun and joyful celebration filled with emotion. This is why I believe that weddings should be captured in a fun and vibrant manner. Gone are the days of dark and dingy black and white wedding photographs. When you look back through your photos I want you to relive all of those incredible emotions you experienced on your wedding day; nervousness, excitement, tears, joy, laughter and most importantly, the love that you have for one another.
This is exactly what I offer with my photography.
I provide a photojournalistic approach, documenting the day as it unfolds to capture the moments that matter in a truly natural manner. I’ll also spend 15-20 minutes with you both to produce a variety of beautiful, creative portraits, all of which combined result in a modern but timeless collection of images.
From the moment you contact me, throughout the months leading up to your wedding day I will be on hand to provide you with any advice and support that you may need. We’ll also meet at your wedding venue prior to the big day. This gives us an opportunity to discuss the details of your wedding and allows you to ask any further questions that you may have.

Sound Service is a boutique music consultancy company who specialise in live music for events. Anything from classical instrumentalists and acoustic singers to full bands and DJs.
My informal style of wedding photography is very unobtrusive, I let the day unfold as it happens. I am able to provide direction for a few traditional formal style photos to be included if you wish, but I mainly work as an observer. Capturing the fun, excitement and emotion of your day is my aim.
