If you would like to join us please call on 0113 8214544 or email email@example.com and we will do our best to accommodate your business in a great space. Places have filled up very quickly for October's event but additional spaces may be added to the floorplan with enough notice.
In the words of Queen and Freddie Mercury the show must go on even if it is set to be a winter wedding wonderland!
Granted no one could have predicted snow in the middle of March but that is the hand we have been dealt for our big wedding fayre at York Racecourse, and despite the weather problems on Saturday and overnight, the event will be going ahead from 10.30am.
If you have booked tickets or made plans to attend today, please do still come along and join us in the warmth of the racecourse for a cracking day of wedding inspiration.
It goes without saying we would ask you all to drive carefully and allow a little extra time for the conditions, but the main roads should all be clear, and we will be making provisions too to ensure that you aren’t waiting outside in the cold.
So let’s not a little bit of snow get in the way of what promises to be a great day!

Hello everyone and thanks for visiting The UK Wedding Event website.
It’s that time of the year again when we are all running around chasing our tail as we gear up for a whole host of wedding fayres including two massive shows at York Racecourse on Sunday 23rd October and at Leeds United’s Elland Road stadium on Sunday 13th November.
The first of the horizon is at Mercure Fairfield Manor in York on Sunday 4th September (today in fact as I type this at 01:21 in the morning!) and it promises to be another busy day.
Over 500 visitors came through the door for our first ever event at this venue back in January and judging by the pre-booked activity it will be a similar turnout this time with 400 already snapped up at the time of writing.
You can either pre-book your tickets before the event starts at 10.30am and enter our prize draw as well as offering the advantage of a fast track admission or simply turn up in person with your family and friends and we will check you in there and then.
However, you choose to do it, the process is quick and easy and best still free! Great value I’m sure you’ll agree for the chance to see over 40 wonderful suppliers all under one roof.
By the way, we have had one exhibitor have to drop out at the last minute for personal reasons, so if you are reading this now and would like to take that place, please get in touch now if time permits.
To pre-book your tickets for any of our events, select the ticket tab using the menu system or go direct by clicking here

The events really do start coming at our thick and fast. We have some old favourites and some new venues offering something for everyone.
On Sunday 18th September, we are at Weetwood Hall for the very first time on the outskirts of Leeds, followed by a return to The Crown Hotel in Harrogate for the second time this year on Sunday 25th September.
The final intimate wedding fayre we are organising this year is another new venue for us at the beautiful Engine Shed in Wetherby on Sunday 2nd October.
All three of these shows have attracted some wonderful varied exhibitors and once again admission is free to everyone!!
As mentioned previously, we also have two large wedding fayres to round off the year including a return to York Racecourse on 23rd October for our flagship show which we can proudly boost to having already filled every single one of our regular exhibiting stands and we still have nearly two months to go!
On that note, I’m going to wrap up this article now as my bed is calling and I have got a busy day in front of me and therefore need some sleep!
Hello everyone, it has been a little while since I wrote a new blog entry and for that I apologise.
We have been so busy over the last few months with more and more new venues asking us to take over the running of their wedding fayres.
One of our newest shows is coming up at BEST WESTERN Burn Hall Hotel in York this Sunday (31st July 2016) and judging by the response for pre-booked tickets, it is set to be a very well attended event.
Over 40 exhibitors will be on hand to offer guidance to couples planning their wedding day, with everything you could possibly think of on show to provide a range of choice.
A full list of exhibitors attending the show at The UK Wedding Event at Burn Hall can also be found under the tab for Burn Hall along with the latest floor plan
If you haven’t yet pre-ordered your tickets you can do that now by visiting http://www.theukweddingevent.co.uk/tickets or you can just turn up on the day and get in for FREE with doors to wedding fayre set to open from 11am ahead of a 3pm finish.
Meanwhile, demand for stands and tickets at our other events are currently unprecedented levels with exhibitor spaces at our flagship show at York Racecourse on Sunday 23rd October already virtually sold out. At the time of writing we have just four ground floor spots left and three stands on the Mezzanine Level.
The UK Wedding Event is thrilled to have added another two wedding fayre dates to our ever growing number of confirmed shows for 2016.
On Sunday 13th November 2016, Elland Road will be the setting for another huge wedding fayre, featuring over 90 top-class exhibitors.
The announcement follows hot-on-the-heels of last year’s successful West Yorkshire event at New Dock Hall at the Royal Armouries.
Event organiser Rob O’Neill said: “We are delighted to be working with the team at Elland Road to host our ever-expanding show. Around a 1000 visitors joined us last November, and I’m convinced the turnout will be even more impressive at The Centenary Pavilion.
“The location is perfect for our wedding fayre, with loads of space inside along with free parking to all visitors and exhibitors as well as easy motorway access to entice guests from further afield.”
On a smaller scale, The UK Wedding Event have also partnered up with award winning venue Weetwood Hall for an intimate wedding fayre on Sunday 18th September 2016.
Admission to this show will be feature when brides-to-be and grooms can expect to see up to 40 wedding suppliers. Click here to order tickets to join us at either event or visit the show details pages if you would like to exhibit.
So what are you planning to do for Valentine’s Day?
Have you proposed to your other half yet?
The fact that you have found us on our wedding fayre website would suggest that you have, so many I point you in the direction of the Crown Hotel in Harrogate this Sunday.
It’s been another extremely busy few months for The UK Wedding Event, so apologises for the lack of updates with the blogs recently, but make sure you regularly check our Facebook page and Twitter feed for the latest news, pictures and reviews.
Please Email us if you would like to blog here as contributors are always welcome, whether you are a brides-to-be planning your own big day or a wedding supplier who has some words of wisdom to share with you all.
Our most recent wedding fayre was at the Mercure Fairfield Manor Hotel near York, and to say it was a success is an understatement. We were thrilled by the turnout for our first ever show at the venue as nearly 500 visitors came through the door to see our 40 strong team of exhibitors!
In light of such a staggering response from the general public and positive vibe from wedding suppliers who attended, it was a no-brainer to book in for another show at Fairfield Manor on Sunday 4th September.
Our immediate challenge now is to see whether we can surpass that figure at The Crown Hotel for what is our third wedding fayre ever at the venue.
Once again we have assembled another fine array of top wedding suppliers to offer choice and quality to our visiting bride and grooms, so do take a moment to check out our exhibitors list by clicking here.
Admission on the day is free when doors open from 12pm ahead of a 4pm finish, but by pre-booking your tickets, you also stand a chance of winning some top prizes courtesy of The Crown Hotel.
Of course the countdown is very much until our big York Racecourse show on Sunday 20th March, an event that continues to go from strength to strength, while in the last few days another new date has been added to our diary with Burn Hall York set to provide the setting for a brand new wedding fayre on Sunday 31st July.
Until next time, take it easy and good luck with your wedding plans!
