About The Show & Venue

If you are engaged to be married, then York Marriott Hotel is the place to be on Sunday 22nd September as the venue provides the setting for one of York’s most popular free wedding fayre.

Over 40 top wedding suppliers will be in attendance to help you plan your special day.

All visitors will be greeted by a drinks reception and a free gift bag will be given to the bride.

The event starts at the slightly later time of 12pm with visitors welcome to chat to all of our vendors and the hotel’s staff until 3pm.

York Marriott is a beautiful setting for both Civil Ceremonies and Wedding Receptions with landscaped gardens overlooking York Racecourse providing a magnificent backdrop for your photographs.

Admission is free of the day, but we do encourage brides-to-be to book tickets in advance as you will benefit from inclusion in our prize draw to win a luxury honeymoon.

If you only just starting your wedding planning and have never been to a wedding fayre, then this show would definitely be a good place to start.

It’s a common misconception, that visitors to the event must want to get married at the venue in order to attend, but that simply isn’t the case at all as everyone of our suppliere exhibiting at York Marriott will be only to happy to part of your big day wherever you are tying the knot.

Licensed for civil ceremonies in a choice of five beautiful rooms and able to cater an intimate wedding of 30 guests right up to 600 guests.

The UK Wedding Event returns to Burn Hall Hotel on Sunday 19th May 2019 for another unrivalled wedding fayre featuring many of Yorkshire’s finest wedding suppliers to help you plan your special day.

All visitors to fantastic rural venue on the outskirts of York will be greeted by a drinks reception and a free goody bag will be given to the bride.

Visitors can also make a day of it by treating themselves to a Sunday Carvey service in the restaurant at Burn Hall.

The DoubleTree by Hilton’s superb facilities can cater for the most intimate of gatherings to the grandest of celebrations.

The venue’s giant pillar-free ballroom won’t fail to impress from the moment you walk through the doors, with capacity to hold up to 1,000 guest.

See for yourselves and check out the services of 40 top wedding suppliers as The UK Wedding Event comes to East Yorkshire for the first time.

The hotel in Ferensway is built on the site of the Lexington Avenue nightclub and is just a short walk away from St Stephen’s and Princes Quay shopping centre and is also conveniently situated next to the city’s bus and rail stations.

Fittingly in honour of what has gone before, the DoubleTree by Hilton even has a rooftop bar named after the former nightclub, while the Steakhouse Bar & Grill is endorsed by world-renowned chef Marco Pierre White.
