Important Announcement – York Racecourse Autumn Show Plans

Please note our planned big wedding show at York Racecourse originally scheduled for Sunday 18th October 2020 will now not be going ahead.
Unfortunately it isn’t possible to stage an event on this scale in the current climate as mass gatherings are not currently permitted by the government.
Latest guidelines states: “The spread of the virus is also affecting our ability to reopen business conferences, exhibition halls and large sporting events, so we will not be able to do this from 1 October.”
We have provisionally set a new date for a scaled back show at York Racecourse for Sunday 29th November, but once again a final decision rests with the government, the local authority and our venue hosts.
If the event does take place, a one-way system will be utilised and many of the regular features from the ‘normal’ day will be missing to enable us to comply fully with the latest safety protocols.
At the current time, we have also suspended ticket sales for the show until further confirmation is received.

Stands can be reserved without payment at this time by clicking HERE to go through to our fully priced up online booking form.
All existing bookings (whether you are a stand holder or show visitor) will be transferred from all earlier postponed dates or can be carried forward for our show back here in the spring of 2021.
The pandemic has certainly had a major impact on the wedding and events industry.
Our entire wedding show programme for the year has been virtually decimated including major events at York Racecourse, Emerald Headingley Stadium and Hillsborough Stadium.
Plans to stage our annual large scale wedding exhibition in Leeds at Elland Road in November have also now had to be shelved.
However, we remain optimistic that the industry can and will bounce back, but it will only be done with your support, patience and understanding.
