Weddings at The Grand YorkThe Grand, York is a stunning hotel wedding venue in the heart of city set against the backdrop of Edwardian architecture and impressive original features.

The Grand Boardroom lives up to its name; the grandeur of the room is decorated with chandeliers and a magnificent original fireplace. A vast, majestic room with floor to ceiling wood paneling, huge windows, and an original parquet floor, coupled with amazing views overlooking York Minster and the City Walls.

Another visually striking space is The Chairman’s Suite, which was the original office of the Chair of the North Eastern Railway. The room is designed to impress and maintains its majestic history with wood clad pillars, an ornate fireplace and more breathtaking views of the City Wall.

On Sunday 26th May, you are invited to see it all in person as The Elite Collection comes to the Grand for an unrivalled wedding showcase featuring many of York’s finest wedding suppliers between 11am – 2pm.

Get Ready for a Love Match at Sheffield Wednesday

The UK Wedding Event is returning to Sheffield Wednesday’s Hillsborough Stadium on Sunday 16th June 2024 for a third straight year after two breath-taking shows in 2022 and 2023 
This huge South Yorkshire wedding show is scheduled to start at 11am featuring around 55 exhibitors and two top catwalk shows.

The UK Wedding Event is delighted to again be back organising a wedding fayre at Mercure York Fairfield Manor Hotel on Sunday 23rd June 2024.

Set in 6 acres of private grounds and within easy reach of the historic city centre, the hotel is one of the most desirable wedding venues in North Yorkshire.

With a natural stream and romantic footbridges that cross it as well as the manicured lawns, this is a truly idyllic place to say ‘I do’.

The hotel’s Parkside Suite consists of a large private room with its own bar and dance floor and can accommodate up to 130 guests for a sit down meal or 180 guests for an informal event.

Alternatively, the panelled Oak Room with a draped, tented ceiling is better suited for more intimate occasions and can accommodate up to 40 guests.

Over 30 top wedding suppliers will be in attendance at our latest wedding fayre at this venue to help you plan your special day.

All visitors will be greeted by a drinks reception and a free gift bag will be given to the bride.
